In 1985 Tears for Fears released ‘Everybody Wants to Rule the World’ a song which became the pinnacle of their chart success. 26years on and R&B sensation J.Williams has decided to put his spin on a timeless classic.

The idea to cover the recording was born out of a kick-back session (jam session) in the studio. NOX played the original Tears for Fears during the downtime and J instantly fell in love with the track, jumped in the booth and gave the single his interpretation of it. K.ONE jumped in to lace a new bridge for it and the result ‘Want to Rule the World’. The challenge of covering any classic is to do it justice and both the publishers in Australia and the UK said it was a great version of the song.
